New Kaboom! playground on tap for San Jose's Sherman Oaks neightborhood

The signs that greet visitors to Pueblo Play,
another Kaboom! playground in San Jose.
Nothing more exciting than learning that a new playground is in the works for SJ! The San Jose Parks Foundation is partnering with the Campbell School District, the Sherman Oaks neighborhood, the SJ Sharks and Kaboom! (which builds awesome playgrounds in communities throughout the country) to build a new park at Leigh and Fruitdale in San Jose. The Build Day -- when community members come together to construct the whole playground in a single day -- is scheduled for May 15th, and they're still looking for volunteers and financial donations. Check out the San Jose Parks website for links to volunteer or donate.

To get an idea of what might be in store for the Sherman Oaks neighborhood, check out my review of Pueblo Play, a Kaboom!-built playground with a fun Sharks theme, which opened in San Jose last spring.

Happy toddling!
