Great Deal Alert: Melissa and Doug Role Play Costume Sets

I was just on Amazon searching for the Halloween costume that Toddler X has requested (more to come on that shortly -- it's kind of funny), and discovered that they're currently offering big discounts -- as much as 25% off -- on the Melissa and Doug Role Play Costume Sets.

I can't recommend these sets highly enough. They are truly amazing for pretend play -- which is, of course, every toddler's favorite pastime, and one we definitely encourage! Toddler X has the Fire Chief Set at Grandma and Pops' house, and we were just playing with the Construction Worker Set at a friend's house last week -- both are amazing! I just ordered the Chef Set to put away for a Christmas gift (hey, gotta shop when they're on sale!) because Toddler X loves, loves, loves "cooking" in his play kitchen.

They're cute enough that they could be a simple and fun Halloween costume, and at $22-25, these are fantastic gifts for 2-4 year old friends' birthdays too. Last fall I stocked up on the Green Toys Tool Sets when they went on sale in the fall, and six of our toddler buddies got those for birthday presents in January and February (so easy to have them just sitting in the closet come party time!). This year, costume sets just might be the thing.

Anyhow, just wanted to share that the sale was going on in case you want to shore up your child's pretend play box, buy a Halloween costume that will actually get year-round use, or do as I do and buy a whole bunch of birthday presents at once. These are guaranteed toddler-pleasers. :)

Happy toddling!

P.S. If you do decide to buy these, please consider doing so via the links on this page. Thanks!
